Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel assignment in Gallatin, Tennessee. The position is a 13‑week contract with 36 hours per week and night shifts, offering travel benefits and tax‑free stipends.

As a MedSurg RN, you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families. A1–2 years acute care experience and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required for this assignment.

Qualifications

• RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Travel RN role requiring 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, nights.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med/Surg patients, including pre/post‑op individuals.
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
