Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee. The position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, rotating 12-hour night shifts.

A Med Surg RN with 1–2 years of acute care experience is preferred, along with BLS and additional certifications as required. As a MedSurg RN, you will perform bedside assessments, document findings, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• NIH certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education as prescribed.
