American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 4+ years of experience and ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications to support multiple outpatient and hospital imaging sites within a prominent health system in the New Haven, CT area. Responsibilities include cross-site coverage, Epic charting, and potential cross-training as a Breast Sonographer.

The role requires state licensure where applicable, BLS, and willingness to travel between sites with varied shifts and occasional evenings

Qualifications

Mammography Technologist with 4+ years of experience and ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications.
Current BLS certification is required.
Experience with Hologic mammography equipment is required.
Trauma center experience at a large facility is preferred.
State license, if applicable; pending licenses allowed but active before start date.
One professional reference is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

Work across 4 imaging sites, including a main campus cancer hospital and three satellite centers within 15 minutes of the main facility.
Locations include New Haven, North Haven, and Guilford, CT with some evening hours until 8:30 PM.
Shifts: Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; as-needed 12:00–8:30 PM; every other Sat 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
On Saturdays, a weekday off is provided; schedule posted one week in advance.
Charting via Epic; cross-training as Breast Sonographer is preferred.

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 4+ years of experience and ARRT (M) certification to work across multiple outpatient and hospital‑based imaging sites within a large academic Level I Trauma Center health system in the New Haven, CT area.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of Mammography Technologist experience required
ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required
Current BLS required
Experience with Hologic mammography equipment required
Trauma center experience at a large facility required
State license required if applicable; pending licenses accepted but must be active prior to start date
1 reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

Work across 4 imaging sites, including a main campus cancer hospital and three satellite medical centers located within 15 minutes of the main facility
Sites include locations in New Haven, North Haven, and Guilford, CT; some sites have evening hours until 8:30 PM
Monday through Friday shifts from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with as‑needed shifts from 12:00-8:30 PM, and every other Saturday from 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
When scheduled on a Saturday, a weekday off will be provided; schedule is posted one week in advance
Charting via Epic
Cross‑training as a Breast Sonographer is preferred
First‑time travelers will not be considered for this position
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
RTO exceeding 7 days requires facility approval
Teal scrub tops and bottoms are required
Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
COVID vaccination and booster are required, with religious or medical exemptions considered
Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility
Parking is available at an additional cost of approximately $125/month
