TotalMed Allied seeks a Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Islip, New York. The role involves operating a mammography unit, ensuring high-quality images, and delivering studies to radiologists for interpretation. Immediate opening with 13-week duration and 40 hours weekly.

The Mammo Tech will follow established imaging procedures, maintain equipment and patient records, and work with PACS systems. A 1-year experience requirement plus BLS and ARRT(M) certification are essential.

Formación

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Mammo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.

Responsabilidades

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results.
• Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Islip, NY. The right Mammo Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Mammo Tech, you will be responsible for the use of a mammography unit and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Tasks
