TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Oak Park, IL. The right Mammo Tech should have 1 year of experience and possess BLS and ARRT (M) certification, with state licensing as required.

This 13-week, 40-hour-per-week assignment emphasizes quality imaging and patient support. You will operate mammography equipment, perform studies, ensure accuracy, and forward completed images to radiologists, while maintaining records and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsabilités

• Use a mammography unit and ensure images are accurate and forwarded to physicians for interpretation.
• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients.
• Interpret doctors' instructions and perform mammography studies following standards and procedures.
• Develop mammograms, monitor results, retake as needed, and forward studies to radiologist.

We are looking for a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Oak Park, IL. The right Mammo Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Mammo Tech, you will be responsible for the use of a mammography unit and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Tasks

As a Mammo Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results
• Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required.

Mammo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Mammo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
