Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT(M) certification and at least 2 years of experience to perform screening and diagnostic mammography in an acute care hospital setting.

The role uses Hologic equipment, Meditech EMR, and requires BLS certification. Typical day shifts, with 4x10 or 5x8 options, no weekends or on-call duties, and a mammography-only unit with potential XR float. Housing and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• ARRT certification required, along with ARRT(M) Mammography and ARRT(R) Radiography certificates
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Hologic mammography equipment experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting in the Mammography department with 1 imaging room
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, and Savi Scout clip placements
• Average of 16-20 scans per day depending on diagnostic or biopsy volume
• Uses Hologic mammography equipment, Merge PACS, and Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 or 5x8 hour shift options
• No weekend, holiday, or call/standby requirements
• Mammo-only unit, though floating to XR may be available if desired
• Brief department-specific orientation includes an overview and tour of the department and hospital
• No in-house radiologist coverage 24/7
• IV starts are not required for this role
• Black scrubs required with colored undershirts acceptable; scrubs are not provided
• No RRA (Registered Radiology Assistant) support in this department
