Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Boston, MA. The Mammo Tech will operate a mammography unit, ensure image accuracy, and forward completed studies to radiologists for interpretation.

Requirements include at least 1 year of Mammo Tech experience, ARRT (M) certification with registration in mammography, BLS, and any applicable state licensing when required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Mammo Tech experience.
• ARRT (M) certification and BLS required.
• ARDMS (RDMS BR) preferred; state licensing as required.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods; knowledge of anatomy and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
• Explain imaging procedures and provide reassurance to patients.
• Interpret doctors' instructions and perform mammography studies.
• Develop, review, and retake mammograms as needed for quality.
• Forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation.
• Maintain a safe work environment and accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
