Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Portland, Oregon. The position requires at least 1 year of Mammography experience, ARRT Mammography certification, and BLS.

You will work 4x10 hour days in a 418-bed acute care facility, performing 3-D, diagnostic, screening, and biopsy-related procedures with Hologic equipment and Epic charting. Start date is 10/19/2026 for 13 weeks with no weekends, on-call, or block scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• ARRT R and Mammography-ARRT certifications required.
• BLS certification required.
• Oregon state license required if applicable.
• Biopsy experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Hologic equipment required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography.
• Conducts fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy as needed.
• Works in a 418-bed short-term acute care hospital setting in the Mammography department.
• Uses Hologic 3D and Hologic Affiliation BX equipment and Epic for charting.
• Shifts are 4x10 hour days (Mon Tue and Thu Fri), 8:00 AM–5:30 PM.

• No floating between units required at this facility, though floating between sister facilities may be expected

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• Former employees of the facility may return after a 3-month waiting period
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
• Any color scrubs accepted
