American Traveler is seeking a Travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Portland, Oregon. The role requires at least 1 year of Mammography experience, ARRT Mammography certification, and BLS. Familiarity with Hologic equipment and Epic charting is expected. Shifts are 4x10s, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no weekends.

The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 418 beds; travel perks include tax-free stipend and housing considerations. First-time travelers are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms.
• Performs digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy.
• Operates Hologic 3D and Aff BX equipment.
• Records and tracks imaging results in Epic charting system.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and familiarity with Hologic equipment for a short-term acute care facility.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
• Mammography department serving inpatient and outpatient populations
• Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsy
• Uses Hologic 3D and Hologic Aff BX equipment
• Uses Epic for charting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No weekends, on-call, or block schedules required
• No floating between units required at this facility, though floating between sister facilities may be expected

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist required
• ARRT R and Mammography-ARRT certifications required
• BLS certification required
• Oregon state license required if applicable
• Biopsy experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Hologic equipment required
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• Former employees of the facility may return after a 3-month waiting period
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
• Any color scrubs accepted
