Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. The role requires radiology expertise, breast imaging proficiency, and patient care within a critical access hospital setting.

The assignment starts 10/12/2026, with a 4x10-hour shift pattern and guaranteed 36 hours per week. Licensure requirements include CA RT, ARRT-R, ARRT-M, MRT, and BLS. Travel support is provided by Healthforce.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
CA RT license and CA MRT certification required in CA.
BLS certification from an approved vendor.
ARRT-R and ARRT-M credentials required in CA.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic mammography exams and screening as ordered by the physician.
Operate mammography equipment and adjust settings to produce high-quality breast images.
Prepare for and assist the Radiologist during intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
Educate patients about the exam, promoting privacy, comfort, and infection control guidelines.
Produce diagnostic-quality films and complete required documentation; disseminate patient preparation instructions to care areas.
Maintain accurate patient information in the department records and EMR (Epic EMR) as part of clinical workflow.
Elevate questions, problems, or significant challenges to more senior staff as needed.
