Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Long Term Care is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care for a 12-week travel assignment in Flandreau, SD. You will provide skilled nursing care, oversee care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The position requires an RN license, at least one year in LTC, and current BLS/CPR certification. ACLS and other certifications may be preferred depending on facility requirements.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient or resident health and take action to ensure well-being.
• Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans with residents and families.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Observe for medication reactions or changes and report to the provider.
• Provide wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, and other skilled procedures.
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately.
• Educate residents and families on medications and chronic disease management.
• Document care provided and resident progress in a timely manner.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with medical teams when needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
