Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Long Term Care Director of Nursing for a 9-week travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. As a member of our team, you'll lead the nursing department, oversee daily operations, and ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care while complying with regulatory standards.

The DON will train and supervise staff, develop policies, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with physicians and administration to continuously improve resident care and

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Director of Nursing.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the nursing team and ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
• Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies to meet regulations.
• Train, supervise, and mentor nursing staff to foster a positive environment.
• Track resident care outcomes and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure facility compliance with CMS/state regulations through audits.
• Oversee medication management and nursing interventions per protocol.
• Coordinate with physicians and care teams for coordinated resident care.
• Manage the nursing budget, staffing levels, and resource planning.
• Address resident/family concerns to maintain a positive experience.
