Healthforce is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital in Sonora, CA. The role offers 40 hours per week, a 5x8 day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), and starts on 10/12/2026.

Requires CA LPN license, BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience; HS/GED (Bachelor’s preferred). EPIC and hospice experience are preferred; weekend availability and a valid driver’s license are a plus.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in California
• BLS Health Care Provider certification
• Minimum of two years nursing experience
• HS/GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work in a short-term acute care travel assignment; weekend availability
• EPIC experience and hospice experience preferred
• Driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care under supervision of RN or MD
• Assist in planning and providing patient care; develop interdisciplinary plan of care
• Perform clinical procedures (phlebotomy, injections, medications) within scope
• Maintain aseptic technique for dressings and wound care; monitor patient condition
• Coordinate rounding and visits; assist in discharge planning and education
• Restock supplies and keep clinical areas neat and orderly
• On-call duties may be assigned based on location and agency needs
