Job summary

BearCom, the leading provider of wireless voice and data solutions, seeks an LMR Field Service Technician in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will test, commission, and support Motorola DMR systems (CapMAX/LCP) and Public Safety DAS/BDA ERCES at enterprise sites.

Travel is heavy and essential to meet project needs. This role emphasizes hands-on installation, RF verification, and codeplug programming, with OSHA 10 and a background in RF systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of LMR field service experience with hands-on Motorola DMR system experience required.
• FCC GROL preferred or willingness to obtain; OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission Motorola DMR infrastructure including CapMAX base stations and LCP trunked systems.
• Support installation and testing of Public Safety DAS, BDA, and ERCES systems per NFPA 1221 and AHJ requirements.
• Perform FATP, RF coverage verification, and end-to-end system validation prior to customer handoff.
• Create and manage Motorola DMR codeplugs, templates, and subscriber programming for enterprise radio fleets.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with LMR infrastructure, RF distribution, antenna systems, and network integration components.
• Collaborate with installation crews and field management to ensure project completion to standard.
• Serve as the technical on-site contact; communicate status and results clearly.
• Produce accurate as-built records, test reports, and commissioning documentation.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and BearCom safety protocols at all times.
