Job summary

BearCom is recruiting an LMR Field Service Technician to support enterprise customers with Motorola DMR systems across multi-story facilities and data centers. You will test, commission, and troubleshoot CapMAX/LCP infrastructure and Public Safety DAS/BDA ERCES at client sites.

You will travel approximately 80% regionally, collaborating with installation teams and field management to deliver mission-critical systems while ensuring compliance with NFPA 1221 and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on LMR field service experience with Motorola DMR systems.
• Experience with Motorola CapMAX and LCP trunked systems preferred.
• Experience with DAS/BDA/ERCES Public Safety systems installation and testing.
• Proficiency with Motorola RM and MOTOTRBO programming tools.
• Understanding of RF propagation, antennas & signal measurement.
• Ability to read RF drawings and installation plans.
• OSHA 10 required; FCC GROL preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR; pass background & drug screen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; a genuine team player.

Responsibilities

• Motorola DMR Systems: Install, configure, test, and commission Motorola DMR infrastructure including CapMAX base stations and LCP trunked systems.
• DAS/BDA ERCES: Support installation and testing of Public Safety DAS, BDA, and ERCES systems per NFPA 1221 and AHJ requirements.
• System Commissioning: Perform FATP, RF coverage verification, and end-to-end system validation prior to handoff.
• Codeplug Programming: Create and manage Motorola DMR codeplugs, templates, and subscriber programming for enterprise radio fleets.
• Field Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with LMR infrastructure, RF distribution and network integration.
• Team Collaboration: Work with installation crew members and field management to ensure project success.
• Customer Interface: Serve as technical point of contact on-site; communicate status and milestones clearly.
• Documentation: Produce as-built records, test reports, and commissioning checklists.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA standards and BearCom safety protocols.
