Job summary

The State of Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses seeks an Occupational Licenses Inspector to conduct inspections of barber, cosmetology, funeral home and crematory businesses in Eastern Idaho and surrounding areas. Will travel daily and overnight as required, with inspections and reporting duties central to the role.

Must have experience performing on-site inspections, interpreting licensing laws, and using basic office software.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting on-site inspections and preparing inspection reports.
• Ability to interpret, apply and explain licensing laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with basic office computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect licensed establishments, facilities and institutions for compliance with safety and sanitation rules.
• Prepare written reports detailing deficiencies from inspections and communicate findings to licensees.
• Investigate complaints related to Barber and Cosmetology Services Licensing Board and related boards.
