Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care in Gallup, New Mexico. This travel - temporary assignment starts November 2, 2026 and runs for six weeks. The position offers guaranteed hours of 36 per week with a weekly pay of $724–$758. Shifts are 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 in 3x12-day blocks. The role is in a skilled nursing facility and local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, including routine assessments and daily monitoring
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, document responses, and report changes to the supervising RN
• Monitor vital signs, observe for signs of distress or deteriorating conditions, and intervene per facility protocol
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote safety, comfort, and dignity
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and other staff to implement and update individualized care plans
• Ensure infection prevention standards, proper charting, and adherence to safety protocols

Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:30) and function in a busy, geriatric-focused environment
• Capacity to work in a local community-based facility in Gallup, NM
