Career seeks dedicated LPNs for a Travel Contract as a Correctional Nurse in San Luis, Arizona. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to inmates, with AM/PM shifts (7-7) and a 2 days on / 2 days off rotation including every other weekend.

Competenze

• Must hold LPN license in Arizona or a Compact Multi-License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of correctional nursing experience preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Mansioni

• Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Operate pill calls, dispense medication, and document as required by policies.
• Attend sick calls with the physician to prepare examination lists and rooms.
• Examine and assess inmates/residents; refer to emergency care when needed.
• Monitor inmate hospitalizations for early release when appropriate.
• Provide guidance and supervise nursing staff.

Seeking dedicated and experienced LPNs wanting a Travel Contract to join our Dynamic Team!

As a Travel Correctional LPN, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a Correctional Center/Facility located in San Luis, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare.

Position: Correctional Nurse -LPN

Location: San Luis, Arizona

Schedule: AM/PM shifts needed -7-7

Rotation: 2 days on / 2 days off, with every other weekend rotation

Starting hourly Pay: $38 hourly with a travel per diem

What You'll Do:

• Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Operate pill calls, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures
• Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined; prepare examining room and equipment.
• Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries or inmates/residents who become ill or injured; refer inmates/residents to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required by their condition.
• Monitor, as directed, inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations for early releases whenever appropriate
• Regularly evaluate the provision of medical services to prevent the inappropriate use or duplication of those services
• Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify Licensed Independent Providers for treatment orders.
• Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff

Requirements

• LPN license in Arizona or "Compact" Multi-License
• BLS
• 1+ years of recent correctional nursing experience preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
