Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Eloy, AZ. This role involves 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, in a correctional healthcare setting, with competitive pay and travel stipends for eligible candidates.

You will evaluate medical services, maintain records, coordinate treatment, and ensure safety and confidentiality while meeting NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO guidelines. AZ license, nursing degree, and at least 1 year of LPN experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid AZ license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• A degree from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a LPN.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of current required certifications: BLS, TB screening, Hepatitis B vaccination or titers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating medical services and prevent duplication or inappropriate use.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records.
• Observe, document, and report inmate/resident behavior and medical conditions.
• Inspect medical areas for contraband and safely secure or dispose of supplies and equipment.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate medical, operational, statistical, and incident reports.
• Interpret medical procedures, regulations, and medical orders.
• Coordinate treatment coordination for serious health conditions.
• Communicate effectively with staff, inmates/residents, families, visitors, and administration.
• Support safety programs and accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate inmate/resident movement for medical treatment.
• Assist with investigations by gathering evidence and documenting findings.
