Job summary

MC Machinery Systems Inc. seeks a Laser Field Service Technician to serve customers across the United States. You will repair and maintain Mitsubishi laser cutting systems, applying mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting expertise.

Technicians travel Monday–Friday, with regional travel typical and occasional nationwide assignments. Comprehensive training supports a long-term career in machinery and manufacturing technologies.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certification in electronics/mechanics/mechatronics preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
• Experience reading machine manuals, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• Experience using electrical measurement equipment (voltmeters, oscilloscopes) and precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex technical issues on Mitsubishi laser machinery.
• Perform mechanical and electrical inspections, including dismantling, rebuilding, and system adjustments.
• Provide remote troubleshooting support via phone when appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with customers to explain issues, timelines, and repair outcomes.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams to support accurate analysis and repair.
• Document service activities, findings, and resolutions with clarity and detail.
• Accurately complete and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles in proper working conditions.
• Perform additional duties assigned to support customer satisfaction and department operations.
