Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Nashua, NH. The role involves providing obstetric patient care, monitoring maternal and fetal health, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on a nightly schedule.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of Labor and Delivery experience, an active RN license in New Hampshire, and BLS/NRP certifications. Additional certifications like AWHONN monitoring, STABLE, and ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Current RN license compliant with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and exams.
Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
Document care and interventions in the medical record.
Participate in quality improvement to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
