Job summary

TotalMed RN in Boston is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery. The position is a 16-week travel assignment, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour rotating shifts. Immediate start for an RN with 3 years of acute care experience.

The role includes bedside support during labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care, and requires ACLS/BLS/NRP/AWHONN certifications. As an L&D travel nurse, you will work with physicians during epidurals, cesarean prep, and pain management.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN certifications required or preferred.
• 3 years of recent acute care experience requested.
• Travel RN assignment experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor dilation.
• Maintain beds clean and dry, manage fluids.
• Assist physicians with delivery procedures and instruments.
• Provide immediate care to the newborn.
