Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Massachusetts. The role requires 3 years of recent acute care experience and a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

As an L&D Travel Nurse, you will support mothers before, during, and after delivery, assist physicians during procedures, monitor labor progress, and provide newborn care.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
• Licensed RN with Labor and Delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/dilation.
• Assist with drapes, gloves, gowns and delivery instruments as needed.
• Provide immediate care to newborn.
