Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester Hills, MI. You will provide obstetric nursing care, monitor fetal status, and support the care team in a high-acuity environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of L&D experience, valid RN license, and current BLS and NRP certifications. Travel pay is competitive, with comprehensive benefits and 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing
