American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week day shift assignment in California. The role requires an active CA RN license, ACLS/BLS/NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certification, with 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience.

The position is hospital-based with a 3x12-hour shift pattern (0700–1930) and entails fetal monitoring, medications, vaginal deliveries, neonatal care, and collaboration with the care team. Local candidates are preferred.

Formación

• Active CA RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Advanced certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Responsabilidades

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• LDRP work setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930
• Performs fetal monitoring including external and internal EFM, recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Administers medications including Magnesium Sulfate therapy and Pitocin (oxytocin)
• Assists with vaginal deliveries, epidural anesthesia, and pain management
• Provides neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation
• Performs antepartum care procedures including sterile vaginal exams
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to coordinate patient-centered care plans
• Documents patient care and responses to treatment in the electronic health record
• Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with hospital, state, and federal regulations
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff/travelers must have a 1-year separation before returning
• Holiday coverage required for major holidays
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Candidates may only submit to one Sutter Health facility at a time
