Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Antioch, CA. The role offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, with a start date of 11/03/2026.

You’ll provide obstetric care, collaborate with a dedicated clinical team, and enjoy comprehensive benefits in a traveler-friendly environment. The position requires an RN license, BLS, and NRP; preferred certifications include AWHONN, STABLE, ACLS, and others.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience is required.
• Current RN license valid per state regulations.
• BLS certification required; NRP certification preferred.
• Preferred: additional perinatal certifications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per obstetric standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn/stabilization.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and teams.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care accurately and participate in quality initiatives.
• Support fetal monitoring and assist in cesarean sections as needed.
