Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Roseville, CA. You will provide obstetric care, monitor mother and baby, and collaborate with the care team to ensure excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities include assisting during labor, postpartum care, and neonatal stabilization, with a strong emphasis on safety, critical thinking, and patient-centered communication.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
