Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Kearney, Nebraska. The role requires 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, and ASAP start.

You’ll provide obstetric care, monitor mother and fetus, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting. Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn assessment.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Perform other duties within the scope of labor and delivery nursing.
