The position requires managing postpartum treatment following delivery, supporting diverse patient populations, and handling high acuity cases with confidence and expertise.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, NRP required.
• Education Requirements: Current licensure with a valid compact license in hand at submission.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery, with at least 2 years required.
• Location Requirements: Candidate must be within 50 miles of the facility.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high risk obstetric care, magnesium sulfate therapy, EPIC charting system experience.
• Responsibilities include providing postpartum care, managing high acuity obstetric patients, administering medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium sulfate, supporting postpartum hemorrhage cases, and responding to substance withdrawal cases.
• Additional responsibilities involve handling cesarean sections, episiotomies, and incision care, along with perineum care and fundus management.
• Must be able to handle a census surge and may be asked to manage a fourth couplet, with float requirements between nearby facilities.
• Candidates should be able to start on 10/19/2026 and work through 01/18/2027, with the choice of 13 or 26-week assignment length, and shifts scheduled as 3x12s or 4x12s.
• Submission must include two references covering the past year or six months if applicable, and responses to specific screening questions about previous work at a Providence facility.
• Candidates should be prepared for possible float between sister facilities and for working three of the five holidays specified.
