Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the Lower Keys. This role involves providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care. The RN will utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies to ensure safe delivery of care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift (7:00 PM 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, at least 2 years of prior travel experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby units. Certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS (can be obtained within 30 days if not already held). AWHONN certification preferred, can be completed onsite.
• Responsibilities: Providing comprehensive obstetrical care across all phases, demonstrating critical thinking and scientific judgment, maintaining clinical competencies, delegating patient care, and supervising assigned staff.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation, prior experience in similar hospital settings, and flexibility to float to other units as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Review housing options prior to submission; housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured and address provided.
• Additional Information: The RN holds shift accountability for patient care during all obstetric phases, demonstrating leadership in planning and safe delivery practices.
