Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Florence, South Carolina. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts. The RN will provide care before, during and after delivery and must meet the unit's fast-paced demands.

Requirements include 3 years of recent acute care experience and relevant certifications. Additional duties include monitoring labor, assisting physicians during procedures, and immediate newborn care,

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after birthing process.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
• Immediate care of newborn.
