Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse RN for a 26-week assignment in Charlotte, North Carolina. This travel role requires 3 years of acute care RN experience, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour night shifts.

The RN will support obstetric patients before, during, and after delivery, assist with epidurals or cesarean prep, monitor labor, and provide newborn care. ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN certifications are preferred. This position offers weekly pay and benefits through TotalMed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN certifications required.
• L&D nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient during labor and contractions.
• Assist physicians with epidurals, deliveries, and cesarean prep.
• Provide immediate newborn care and post-delivery support.
• Monitor patient beds, cleanliness, and delivery room setup.
• Assist with delivery instruments and room preparation.
