Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This RN will support mothers before, during, and after delivery and work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift, with a travel assignment across facilities as needed.

The ideal candidate has ACLS/BLS/AWHONN and at least three years of acute care experience, with readiness to fulfill required certifications and adapt to a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN required; additional certifications may be required.
• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• Travel assignment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and dilation.
• Keep beds clean and manage bodily fluids as needed.
• Aid physician with delivery instruments and prep for cesarean when required.
• Provide immediate care for the newborn.
