Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Richmond, Virginia. The role requires 3 years of acute care experience, a 12-hour night shift, and 36 hours per week. Immediate start; travel employment type. ACLS/BLS/AWHONN/NRP certifications are required.

L&D travel nurses provide care before, during, and after delivery, supporting physicians during epidurals and cesareans. Benefits include weekly pay and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications required.
• 2+ years acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids during/after birth.
• Assist physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, and instruments.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
