Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment in California. Requires CA RN license and 2 years L&D experience with ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, and LA City Fire Card. Epic charting experience and C‑section circulating skills are essential.

The role is 3x12‑hour nights (19:00–07:00) with 1:2 patient ratio, no weekends or on‑call, and floating to related units as needed. On‑site parking and comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, LA City Fire Card.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Circulating for C-sections experience.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year in last 3 years.
• Pending license not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital.
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
• Patient ratio 1:2.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Floating between like units and potentially sister facilities.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Block scheduling accommodated at manager discretion.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in L&D, including C‑sections circulating.
• Scrubs may be any color; scrubs provided.
• Free parking on-site.
• Must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, NYD).
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post‑offer changes may not be accommodated.
• Shifts may be canceled up to twice per two-week pay period.
• First-time travelers welcome.
• Providence employee constraint if applicable: wait 3 months and live outside 50-mile radius.
• Local candidates accepted at lower bill rate.
• Travel-rate eligibility requires living outside 50‑mile radius.
