Job summary
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week evening assignment in California. Requires CA RN license, travel nursing background, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certs. 2+ years L&D, IV therapy, blood product administration, and high-risk obstetrics experience are essential.
Shift is 3x12 hours (3:00 PM–3:00 AM) with every other weekend. Housing allowances and travel reimbursements offered.
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- Experience with high-risk antepartum and L&D management.
- Knowledge of fetal monitoring and IUPC placement.
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, floating to Antepartum as needed.
- Manage patient care from admission to discharge as primary nurse.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, hygiene and infection control.
- Respond to medical and environmental emergencies when needed.
- Uphold 1:2 patient ratio and 3x12 hour evening shifts.
- No on-call requirements and occasional weekend work.
- Epic charting system preferred.
