Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse in Nashville, Tennessee for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 3 years of recent acute care experience and a 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week.

As an L&D travel RN, you will support mothers before, during, and after delivery, assist with epidurals, manage newborns, and collaborate with physicians. ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; manage bodily fluids during birth.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns and instruments.
• Provide immediate care for newborn after delivery.
