Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Westerville, Ohio. The ideal candidate has 3 years of acute care experience and will work a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a nights, 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities include monitoring labor, assisting with epidurals, newborn care, and supporting physicians during delivery. Requires BLS, NRP, NIH certifications and ability to handle fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• RN with 3+ years of acute care experience.
• L&D specialization and ability to monitor labor and newborn care.
• BLS, NRP, NIH certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist patient with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervical dilation and progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry and manage bodily fluids.
• Assist physician with delivery instruments and setup.
• Provide immediate care to newborn.
