Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide obstetric care, monitor mother and fetus, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

This travel role offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits, with licensing and CEU reimbursement and 24/7 recruiter support.

Qualifikationen

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP certification required.

Aufgaben

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards for obstetric nursing care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
