Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Bellevue, WA. The assignment runs 18 weeks, with 36 hours per week and night shifts. The role requires RN licensure in WA, BLS, and NRP, plus recent L&D experience.

As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will assess maternal and fetal health, administer treatments, and collaborate with obstetric teams to ensure safe, high-quality care during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Travel benefits and support are provided.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
• Preferred: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification; STABLE and ACLS Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards for obstetric nursing care.
