Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Aberdeen, WA. The RN will provide obstetric nursing care, monitor maternal and fetal health, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe labor, delivery, and postpartum support.

Requirements include one year of L&D RN experience, valid RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and travel compensation through Fusion

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
