Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Redding, CA. The role offers 36 hours per week on a night shift with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will provide obstetric care, monitor fetal and maternal health, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care during labor and delivery and the immediate postpartum period.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Current RN license in California.
• Active BLS certification and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
• Document care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
