Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Redlands, CA. The role involves supervising obstetric care, monitoring mother and fetus, and collaborating with a clinical team.

This travel position offers night shifts, 12-hour blocks, and a supportive recruitment network. Requirements include one year of L&D RN experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP certification.
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification (preferred).
• STABLE and ACLS certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and others.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance outcomes.
