Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Red Bluff, CA. You'll work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, providing obstetric care in a busy Labor and Delivery unit.

Qualifications

One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
California RN license in good standing
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing standards
Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examinations
Provide postpartum care and newborn assessment
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and newborn care
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
Document care and interventions in medical records
Participate in quality improvement to improve outcomes
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
Assist in cesarean sections and obstetric procedures
Comply with hospital policies, state and federal guidelines
