Job summary

TotalMed RN in Lancaster, OH is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 36 hours per week across 12-hour night shifts and urgents 3 years of acute care experience, with BLS, NRP and EFM certifications.

Immediate start preferred, with travel nursing pay and stipends as part of the package. The position involves assisting physicians during delivery, monitoring labor, supporting patients, and providing newborn care in a fast-paced L&D setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after birthing process.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
• Immediate care of newborn.
