Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for a Columbus, Ohio assignment. You will care for patients before, during, and after delivery, focusing on safety and comfort throughout the birthing process.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of recent acute care L&D experience and hold ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications. The role involves 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week, for 13 weeks in Columbus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Current RN licensure and obstetric/gynecology exposure.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix and monitor dilation progression.
• Assist with delivery and immediate newborn care.
• Support physicians with epidurals, analgesia, and deliveries.
