Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks an experienced travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Aurora, Colorado. The RN will work 48 hours per week on a rotating 12-hour shift, providing care before, during, and after delivery and supporting physicians with epidurals, cesareans, and newborn care.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN and at least 3 years of acute care experience. This role emphasizes fast-paced, high-stress environments with patient and family support throughout the birthing

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS/BLS/NRP/AWHONN certifications.
• L&D nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean up fluids during/after birth.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, instruments.
• Provide immediate care to newborn.
