Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Thornton, Colorado. This role requires 3 years of acute care experience and offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

The L&D travel nurse will support care for women before, during, and after delivery, assist with epidurals and cesarean preparations, and work closely with physicians. Benefits and pay are aligned with travel nursing standards in Colorado.

Qualifications

• RN with 3+ years of acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor dilation.
• Keep beds clean and dry; manage fluids during birthing process.
• Assist physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, and instruments.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
