Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Thornton, Colorado. This role is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts. Immediate start and required ACLS/BLS/NRP/AWHONN certifications.

Ideal candidates have 3 years acute care experience and are comfortable in a fast-paced travel environment, assisting with epidurals, cesarean prep, and newborn care.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN certifications required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns and instruments.
• Provide immediate care to newborn.
