Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Indio, California. The right RN should have 3 years' recent acute care experience and is expected to cover a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

3 years' recent acute care RN experience.
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and other certifications may be required.
13-week travel assignment in Indio, CA with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
Assess cervix progression and dilation periodically.
Maintain clean, dry beds and manage bodily fluids during birthing.
Assist physicians with delivery instruments and preparation for cesarean when needed.
Provide immediate care of the newborn.
